  1. It is preposterous that illegal immigrants could possibly have any say in determining who the next President is. The election is coming up next year and I think if the government is aware of this they need to find a solution. It is sad to think some corrupt political leaders promote having more and more illegal immigrants just because they know it could help them win. This would not be a fair way to win the election. Trump in particular is an advocate against immigrants and for good reason. They are coming into our country and having more of a voice than the real American citizens.

  2. I agree with Lindsey. Illegal immigrants should not be able to have a say in our government direct or indirect. That right should only be reserved for citizens of the country. It is completely unfair that undocumented people can affect the government status when they rarely experience the repercussions. They do not pay taxes, so they are unaffected by programs that raise taxes. It is also unfair that taxpayer dollars are used to pay for their children to go to school when they are not paying anything. It is ridiculous that politicians are using the illegal immigrants to their advantage. What does that say about our country if our presidential candidates gain leverage by using the illegal people in our country? The government has ignored the issue of illegal immigrants for too long and the problem needs to be addressed.

  3. I agree with both Lindsey and Kristin. It is ridiculous that illegal immigrants are coming into the United States and taking our tax dollars, trying to have a say in our government, and so much more. It is not fair that our country has the possibility of becoming absolute crap due to the persons who shouldn't even have a say. Hillary is not worthy of being president but if these illegal aliens have a say, she will win and we will basically be doomed. These illegal immigrants are using the people of America to better the lives of themselves and their children and it is not something we should have to deal with. The government needs to do something about it, and at this point Trump is a better candidate than Hillary because he doesn't tolerate immigrants and their games.

  4. I agree with all three of my peers who commented on this article before I did. Our government was created to represent OUR people. Even the Classical Republicans recognized that in order for a government to be successful, citizens have the duty of serving their community. In America, one of these duties includes paying taxes. Illegal immigrants do not pay taxes. Therefore, they have no right to influence our government. Furthermore, Kristin makes a great point in saying that illegal immigrants should have no authority over our government because they are not affected by the decisions made our government. It is pathetic that presidential candidates are using the illegal immigrant population to their advantage. The Founding Fathers created our nation’s government to give all CITIZENS an equal voice, not just politicians. Politicians’ willingness to take advantage of the inaccurate allocation of electoral votes due to the presence of illegal immigrants proves that they are not trying to represent the American people. They only care about having THEIR voices heard and do not care about what the AMERICAN PEOPLE truly want. America needs to solve this problem if we care about upholding a government that truly represents our people.

  5. I agree with everyone who commented already on this blog because we've had a lot of problems and controversy dealing with immigrants entering the United States, from entering illegally to from being involved in the black market its become a challenge for citizens of the United States to accept them with open arms. I find this absurd that they should have a say considering they haven't lived in America their whole life and haven't experienced what Americans have gone through with each President and their constant changes to our country. Bringing in immigrants to help political leader have an advantage in the race should not be allowed it should be held strictly to the citizens of the United States like it has been for centuries now. Im all about change for America and how it can benefit the future of our country but this kind of change doesn't bring any benefit to our country it brings outsiders who have no ideas about America's policies and how each leader supports or doesn't support those ideas.

  6. If the new president of The United States is counting on votes from illegal citizens then how are you a president for The United States? The president would not be representing America but the countries illegal immigrants come from. The people of The United States are citizens not illegal immigrants. By allowing illegal immigrants to vote it takes away citizens voting rights. Those states that with large populations of illegal immigrants should not receive extra seats in the House because the non citizens don't have the standard impact a citizen would make in the government and economy. The president should be elected fairly by having American citizens determine the outcome of the future president. Their choice in president will make an impact on their entire life because of taxes, jobs, and their rights. For illegal immigrants the president they chose only allows them to live in The United States for free.

  7. As stated in all of the comments above, I think it is very obvious that there is a huge issue concerning Hilary's outlook on illegal immigration. It is worrisome that our "future president" is relying on votes that our not from "our people." Illegal immigrants do not have the right to vote. If they do not take part in the normal duties of citizens, such as paying taxes and serving in jury duty, then they should not have the ability to vote for the leader of our nation. These illegal immigrants should not be able to possibly outweigh the votes of the legal citizens of our nation. I think Hilary needs to check her views on illegal immigration if she wants to have a shot at the presidency.

  8. Along with everyone in this blog, I agree that it is unfair to have immigrants vote for political leaders. We've had a lot of problems and controversy in dealing with immigrants entering the United States. From entering illegally to being involved in the black market, its become a challenge for citizens of the United States to accept them with open arms. I find this absolutely ridiculous that they should have a say considering they haven't lived in America their whole life and haven't experienced what Americans have gone through with each President. They have not experienced the constant changes in our country. Brining in immigrants to help a political leader in my opinion is unfair and unjust. In general, I don’t think it is fair for immigrants to come into America and have a say on anything regarding the government.

  9. I agree with all the other students who commented on this before, especially Lydia when she said if the illegal immigrants are voting then how can the candidate be the President of the United States? This is a very interesting question because it truly shocked me that the illegal immigrants can have that much pull on the presidential election. I think the government needs to recognize this problem and needs to find a solution to it. It is not fair for some presidential candidates and other American citizens for illegal immigrants to come into our country ILLEGALLY and make such an impact on the election.

  10. I also agree with everyone else's comments. I don't understand how Hillary thinks she could become the next President when she says such ignorant things such as this. She thinks that votes from non-Americans will win her the election?! Why would she not be focused on the people who she will be governing. She should want to win the votes of those people since they are the ones who will have to deal with her dipstick policies. She should not be allowed to let immigrants illegally enter our country just to help herself win an election. Its pathetic.

  11. As said above in the previous comments, I do not think allowing illegal immigrants the right to vote is just. They do not participate in duties every citizen of the United States is responsible for. I support citizens of the United State’s right to vote, however, I do not support those who are not citizens and do not carry out their responsibilities. For a presidential candidate to take advantage of these people is ridiculous. It saddens me to see how low people will go to benefit themselves. Taking advantage of these illegal immigrants does not only look bad for Hilary Clinton, but also this whole country.

  12. I am not opposed to allowing illegal immigrants into the United States, it all depends on the circumstance of course. But I agree with Lindsey that they should not have a say in who is our President. This is not me being bias, because I don't like Hillary. If this was for a President I'd actually vote for, I'd still say that illegal immigrants do not have the right to vote. If they go through the process of actually becoming an American citizen, then I would say that they are allowed to vote and do things that an American citizen has the right to do.

  13. I agree with all the students who have commented on this article before me, who believe that illegal immigrants should have no say in who our possible next president may be. Although they may think their opinion is valuable, it means nothing. They are not a part of our country, and do not carry out the duties of a true US citizen. Their votes would change the entire meaning of voting. The fact that Hillary Clinton is allowing illegal immigrants to enter the country so she can gain votes is just ridiculous! She’s crazy to even think she could get away with this!

  14. Illegal immigrants should not have a stay in who is going to be the next president. There have been many problems dealing with illegal immigrants coming into the United States. Only America citizens should have the right to choose who the president should be. Some of the political leaders like having the illegal immigrants because it could help them win. It is horrible that some presidential candidates are taking advantage of the immigrants. The government should/ need to do something about the illegal immigrants.

  15. I agree with nearly all of the previous responders. It is definitely worrying that one of the top presidential candidates, Hilary Clinton, is relying on the votes of illegal immigrants to win the election. It should be obvious that illegal immigrants should not be granted the right to vote. This country was founded on the premise that citizens, not foreigners, should be given the ability to indirectly participate in government. These immigrants, especially since they came here on illegal terms, should not be allowed to vote in the coming election. It is also astounding that after all of the scandals that Hillary has been a member of, she still continues to stoop lower by searching for the votes of non-American citizens. If anything, this further displays why Clinton does not deserve our votes. This simply shows how she isn't looking for the betterment of this country through her candidacy. Instead, she is looking for power.

  16. It just simply does not make sense to me that illegal immigrants could have any say at all in determining who the next President is. It seems that if there were any time to find a solution- it would be now. It is disgusting to think that people, other than illegal immigrants, would vote for these candidates. They are simply running for the position for the title. I believe that most candidates have lost all sense of patriotism, heart, and belief in the US. They are in support of a specific demographic just for the soul purpose of it earning them a (corrupt) vote. Trump in particular is an advocate against immigrants and for good reason. Though he is controversial, he has not lost enough pride in his country or confidence in himself that he has to look for an alternative source for votes. I think that it says a lot about the candidate if they have to basically cheat themselves a win. In regards to immigrants- They are coming into our country and having more of a voice than the real American citizens. So what can be done?

  17. Immigrants cannot just come into our country illegally and elect OUR next American president. Voting rights simply explain that to vote for president, one must be a citizen of the united states and must be at least 18 or older. These Immigrants are called illegal for a reason. Also, the fact that some candidates are pushing for the acceptance of illegal immigrants to vote, shows the lack of confidence within that presidential candidate. If one needs illegal immigrant votes to win, then one should not be the leader of our country. One candidate in particular that is relying on these kinds of votes in Hilary Clinton. It is scary to think that the next possible president of our country would do almost anything to be elected, even allow illegal immigrants to vote knowing that so many american citizens feel so strongly about that specific topic.

  18. As many of my classmates have said above, I believe it is ridiculous that illegal immigrants have a say in the presidential election. The electoral system has been set up in a way that now could have effects on the outcome of the election. I think this issue needs to be fixed immediately. An election is supposed to be for citizens and the votes should reflect as such. It is not fair to United States citizens that non-citizens have a say in our government. I see this as a serious problem that needs to be taken seriously, I hope it is treated as such.

  19. I agree with everyone else; it is not right for illegal immigrants to help decide the future of the US. The idea of who can vote has consistently been an issue in American history, and our past is made up of exclusion from voting rights based on race and gender. However, this is different from the past because these immigrants aren’t citizens in the first place and therefore shouldn’t be allowed to influence the election. It is especially infuriating that a top presidential candidate is relying on these votes, and it only shows how unfit for the title of president Hilary is. Unlike her, a candidate intent on making America a better place would not rely on votes from people that are here illegally in the first place.

  20. Illegal immigrants in my opinion should have no say in the United States government. These aliens may reside in our country but that does not give them the right to have a say in how the country is run especially because they are one of the main reasons that the United States is not running properly. Just because people are unhappy with their life in their home country, doesn’t give them the right to illegally run to another country and then think that they have a say in how the country is run, the nerve of some people! I believe that if these immigrants truly want a say in how our government is run, then they should wait in line for their citizenship like every one else and then they are more than welcome to put their two senses in.

  21. If you aren't from the United States, you shouldn't have any say in the decisions WE make as a nation. It is very hard for me to understand that i have lived here my whole life, 18 years and I'm wasn't able to vote until this year. If you are an immigrant i dont think it'd be fair that you can vote after living here for 1 short year. Hilary Clinton is thriving off immigrant votes. This is a problem that needs to be fixed before it gets out f hand. By Hilary dropping in and out of the election I believe she is just drawing attention to her self and is looking for as much publicity as she can get.

  22. I personally find it disgusting that a pathetic political leader needs illegal immigrants in order to help her to achieve her goal of winning the election. I don’t think it is ethical at all for an illegal immigrant to help decide our President for our country that we were all born in. I also agree with Kristen’s statement that it is unfair for illegal immigrants that aren’t even documented to be able to vote. They do not pay the taxes that we, as citizens, pay monthly and yearly. It is disturbing that she is looking to other people for her votes.

  23. As everyone stated above, I think hilarys outlook on illegal immigration is very wrong. They should not have the right to vote because it would completely take away citizens voting rights. I think the government should find a solution to resolve this before this becomes more serious than it already is. They shouldn’t have a voice on what goes on in our country because they haven’t experienced everything that we have in our country over the years. I don’t think that Hilary deserves to be president if she is letting the people that don’t benefit our country at all have the same voting rights as us.

  25. I agree with my peers. The fact that illegal immigrants have a say in our next President is preposterous. That would be like us deciding on the next Queen of England. They are not American's and therefore should not be allowed to vote for the President of America. The majority of illegal immigrants probably don't know much about our country or the candidates and will be voting for whoever favors immigration. America came a long way from giving voting rights to white landowning men, to all citizens, but allowing illegal immigrants to have as much power as citizens is not fair to the citizens since they don't pay taxes. Trump is against immigrants for good reasons, and the fact that Hilary is letting them vote, just so she can win, shows that she will do anything, right or wrong, to win; which is a quality I would not want for my country's president.
