I agree with Matt Drudge because in todays society everything we say has some underlying meaning. It is very hard to say something without being criticized of saying something racists, sexists, or just offensive. In the First Amendment it states that YOU have the freedom of speech. The guise of copy right makes it impossible to voice your opinion especially online. The government wants to control people by prohibiting them to speak their minds and have an opinion. They want to stop communication between citizens. They are afraid of people standing up to power and wanting their freedom. The government is simply afraid of a confrontation and deal with it by limiting peoples speech, disabling them to voice their opinions and beliefs. The government wants everyone to be the same, but America was founded on the acceptance of diversity and having the freedom to practice your personal beliefs.
I disagree with Matt drudge because the fact of the matter is, so many things we say today can be misinterpreted and twisted into something ugly. Todays society has become somewhat significantly more sensitive to the words and things people say. What i find unfair is that our freedom of speech would be taken away from us due to few people throughout the american population saying things the government doesn't like to hear, therefore punishing the whole country. Every single person is entitled to their own opinion and taking away the american right of speaking freely is taking away everything an american stands for. We believe in the freedom of liberty, justice, and property. But the reason i disagree with Matt Drudge the most is because no matter how ugly our opinionated statements may come out, america would never strip the people of what they cherish the most, having a voice.
