The link Bernie Sanders makes between terrorism and climate change does not make a whole lot of sense to me. What he said about people fighting over natural resources seemed legitimate to me. What does not seem plausible is that climate change is a cause of terrorism. The definition of terrorism is the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims. Terrorists do seem too concerned with the welfare of the common person when they destroy cities and countries. Terrorists use violent acts to instill fear in the people that have differing views than them. Saying that terrorism is caused by climate change is simplistic and demeaning. Hopefully people are intelligent enough to realize this.
Bernie Sanders and his highly questionable statement regarding the correlation between climate change and terrorism leaves me confused and puzzled. I'll tell you what'g going to happen. Isis is sitting back, seeing our dipstick democrat current and possibly future government officials who seem to care more about the weather than they do about possible attacks, and they are sitting back happy with ease. Terrorists are placing fear in the hearts and minds of millions and our government is concerned, and is relating the current issues regarding Isis back to CLIMATE CHANGE. If you ask me, it's RIDICULOUS and makes ZERO SENSE. Let's talk about what's relevant, dipstick.
Personally what Bernie Sanders say in this article does not make much sense to me. First things first, we have a real worldly problem going on here. Our world is probably in the most danger it has been in since the 9/11 attacks and World War II. Right now, weather climate control is not that big of an issue. We could potentially be going to war but instead more concerned about weather? Something out of our control. ISIS sees us just sitting back and chilling meanwhile, plotting. "Global warming is a bigger threat than terrorist attacks in the USA," says our president, Barack Obama. Im sorry but did we not catch someone in New York with a bomb? Did Mali not just get attacked? Is Paris in shambles? I think so. Yes climate change is a big issue, but more importantly...world peace. Personally, I'd rather have a warmer wetter climate than to live in a world where i am afraid to go out in public because I might get bombed.
The reference Bernie Sanders says in this article between terrorism and climate change seem like two very different ideas that need to be dealt with separately not in reference to one another. Yes global warming and natural resources is a main concern in the United States and will effect our future generations if action is not put into place. If the recent events in terrorist attacks and threats didn’t occur I would say that we should focus on global warming and what Americans can do to help. Considering all the recent attacks and threats and how much turmoil has been taking place in that last month it's concerning to me how that relates to climate change in anyway. Terrorism is deliberate attacks on innocent people to show certain political beliefs, which don’t involve climate change. I hope people are able to realize terrorism is harmful attacks that are on purpose and not have anything to do with climate change and it's effects.
It’s crazy to see that this is what Bernie Sanders has to speak about. With all of the terrorism going on in today’s world, all of the killings, and school shootings I cant believe that this is really what is being spoken about! Although some people may believe that climate changes may be the cause for this ridiculous time of terrorism, it doesn’t make much sense because there is crazy climate in the world all the time. Also if it was a reason for terrorism, they should be focusing more on what they can do to stop terrorism, not talking about how climate in the world is! Climate change is a huge issue, but in my opinion terrorism now, is a much bigger issue.
