  1. This method of going after the tanker distribution looks like the right thing to do because it hurts ISIS' ability to generate money. The United States government has a big concern about causing collateral damage in Syrian towns and villages because the population that live there are not necessarily ISIS followers but innocent civilians. By dropping leaflets and giving warning to the truck drivers that could be enslaved by ISIS allows the military to destroy the trucks and spare the lives of the truck drivers. According to the NEw York Times Article 116 out of an estimated 1000 trucks is a relative small percentage and for this operation Tidal Wave II to be effective the raids must continue until the majority of the trucks are destroyed.
