Most of the political information the general population has access to is received via the media. Therefore, this bias can greatly influence the opinion of the the American people. Liberal bias has gone further than influencing interviews, like Andrea Mitchell's interview mentioned in the article. The liberal bias of the media even impacted the presidential debate. Fortunately, Republican candidates handled the situation well, making it clear that they found the questions inappropriate. As mentioned in the article, Steve Daines also handled the situation well, calling out Andrea Mitchell for holding Marco Rubio to double standards regarding Senate attendance. Republicans must continue to call out liberal media workers in order to raise awareness of the bias in the media industry. Although these media providers have their right to freedom of speech and press, like we talked about in AP Gov, Republicans can still work to minimize the influence on this bias on American opinion. If Republicans continue point out this bias, it will make American citizens aware of the situation and embarrass the media.
